Great players move on. The Sky will be retaining his rights for the time being in hopes the transfer market will bring a replacement.

The Sky will sign Heber as a short term replacement option. Dropped from the roster is Yaw Yeboah to make room for him.

X Factor

The Sky selected Xherdan Shaqiri with the #4 pick in the draft. If he is on his game, he will add another dimension to the offense. Slated to be a main central attacking midfielder, the manager has said he will run the offense through him. It wouldn’t be surprising if he takes free kicks, corner kicks and penalties and becomes a focal point for defenses.

Zardes; Pato; Castellanos

The Sky have signed Gyasi Zardes to a reentry player deal after trading with the Gold Coast. This is an exciting move for the 2022 season. The Sky have also decided to give Alexandre Pato another opportunity after a disappointing injury season and sign him to another designated player deal. In another risky move the Sky will sign Valentin Castellanos even with all the transfer rumors circling the player. Hopefully he stays, but if he gets transferred, it's part of the game.

Aleksandar Katai added to roster

The Sky has signed Aleksandar Katai today as the 2nd pick in the expansion draft. He is the third player signed to the roster. Katai had 6 goals and 7 assists with the Fire last year and everyone who follows the league know's the Fire couldn't finish their chances, so those numbers should have been higher. The Galaxy should finish those chances.
