Ayo Akinola suffers ACL injury

Sky announced today that forward Ayo Akinola will likely miss the remainder of the 2021 season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in Canada’s Concacaf Gold Cup game with the United States on Sunday, July 18. He will be evaluated by medical staff upon his return to the club in the coming days.  Alex Ring will take his spot in the starting lineup for Matchweek 13.
